Zombie
The Zombie is a drink that doesn’t really have a standard recipe, except
for the fact that it usually includes rum and some kind of fruit juice.
This is because the drink was originally invented by a man known as Don
the Beachcomber, and was so popular that he kept the recipe a closely
guarded secret. He told only parts of the recipe to different
bartenders, so no one but him knew the entire method to his madness.
This secrecy unsurprisingly led to many variations and opinions on the
drink, some of them quite vociferous. However, one author believes he
has found an original version of the recipe written by its inventor,
which utilizes three different types of rum and enough alcohol to make you believe you are
a zombie by the time you’ve drunk it. Perhaps with this new-found
recipe, the zombies will rise from the earth once more to feast upon the
living.
MOJITO
The Mojito is a rum-based cocktail that has long been popular with sailors. The drink makes use of mint leaves by first using a muddler to release their flavor. These mint leaves are then mixed with lime juice, sugar, and soda water. As with many famous cocktails, its origin is shrouded in mystery, but its birthplace was definitely Cuba. One feature the various stories seem to have in common and that makes perfect sense is the Mojito’s ability to help to fight off scurvy, which would explain its popularity among sailors. Long before modern medical science had figured out all that jazz, sailors often had to deal with a scurvy problem, and citrus was one of the best preventatives.
The story of BLOODY MARY
The Bloody Mary is an extremely famous cocktail and needs little introduction. It is often the go-to hangover “cure”, and is generally consumed early in the morning for that purpose. The Bloody Mary has many variations, but they all include vodka, tomato juice, and a selection of spices for flavor. While most people attribute the creation of the drink to a restaurateur in the early 1900s, some people have come up with a much more fanciful explanation. Apparently some people attribute at least the name of the drink to Queen Mary, who was often known by her much more sanguinary nickname due to her brutal attempts to return Catholicism to England. Some suggest that the tomato juice is supposed to represent blood. However, there isn’t any real evidence to support this theory.

AWKWARD - Stories
"I’d been going out with my boyfriend for about a month, when his parents invited me round for dinner. Whilst at his house, he was using the toilet and I thought it would be funny to take his jar of money and treasured comics, put them in a random plastic box I found, hide it and watch him freak out. I am a bit of a prankster and practical joker and he is quite laid back so I thought he’d be cool about it. Unfortunatley as I ran down the stairs with the box preparing to hide it in the kitchen cupboard, his parents came out of their room, which shocked me so I tripped and all the money and comics fell out of the box by the front door, and my boyfriend came out of the bathroom as he and his parents were staring at me. It looked like I was trying to steal his things! Then to make things worse- as I was explaning that it was meant to be a joke his parents told me i’d better leave, and as I did so I still had some coins in my pocket that fell out from when I was trying to put them back in the jar. Needless to say, we broke up as his parents didn’t want him dating a theif."
"Well I ordered Directv for my house and I had to go to work so I asked my friend if she cared to come over to wait for the installer. He wasn’t due for another couple of hours but my friend was already there. I went to get ready for work and take a shower. The bathroom is right off my bedroom u have to go through bedroom to get to it.
After my shower I dried off and put my towel around my head. I always put my clothes on my bed and change in my bedroom because my bathroom is so small that u can barely move. I opened the bathroom door and walked out butt naked. I didn’t see him at first because he was kneeled down. I had my back to him putting lotion on my legs and when i turned around there he was. He must of got a good show for about five minutes of me applying lotion and bending over and never said nothing. I just yelled and ran in the bathroom and asked him to leave.
After I got dressed i came out and him and my friend were laughing, I think she set me up but she denies. I went to work and told everybody and they laughed."
"A while ago I was dating this guy named William but everyone called him Will for short. I also had a friend named William who was really into me, but I wasnt interested AT ALL. I was texting my Boyfriend, when some random number texted me, saying it was Will. I just assumed it was my boyfriend. He didn’t have a cellphone so I assumed he got one or something.
So of course, I start with the boyfriend girlfriend talk. I was like “hey, baby” and stuff like that. He responded like my boyfriend would. Then my ACTUAL boyfriend texted me from his email. I was so confused!! Then I realized. Oh I’ve been texting the William thats really into me like I’m into him. Ughh. So u was leading him on. Safe to say, I avoided him as much as I could!"
WE NEED BETTER SEX EDUCATION!
WE NEED BETTER SEX EDUCATION!
Young people
constantly pick up sexual messages, many of them ones that do not promote healthy
sexuality, including commercial messages that are in the interest of
advertisers, and misinformation from
their peers. Avoiding talking about sexuality only teaches young people to feel
uncomfortable about sexuality.
A research has revealed that most young people
(93%) learn about sex and sexual health from school-based sexuality education
programs. Family members were also found to be a significant source of
information at 61 per cent. However, students reported low levels of confidence
to discuss sexuality with parents.
With the
research telling us that school children are turning to schools and their
families for reliable information, it is important to support schools and
parents to do the best job they can.
Many young
people are sexually active in some way and this has increased over the last
decade. Research reports two issues of concern:
- a low level of consistent condom use
- increased rates of unwanted sex, particularly in relation to alcohol use.
There are
numerous competing messages about sexuality in the world. Many are misinformed
and sensationalist, yet are often presented in highly communicative styles,
through pop videos, advertisements, internet blogs, mobile phones, films,
reality TV and television serials.
The primary
purpose of many of these messages is to sell a product, not to equip young
people with what they need to know for a healthy and fulfilling adult life.
Young people
can make good decisions about their sexual health if education policies,
programs and services are available to help them.
To be
meaningful for all, it is essential to ensure learning and teaching in
school-based sexuality education programs recognise and respond to the
diversity of student needs. Forms of diversity include sexual orientation,
gender, culture, religion and disability.
As you see a
good sex education is very important, especially because it’s not just helping
teenagers to understand how their body works, and learn what a healthy sexual
life is but it can also help to decrease the rates of unintended pregnancies
among teenagers.
Every family should have a disaster survival plan!
EVERY FAMILY SHOULD HAVE A DISASTER SURVIVAL PLAN
Imagine that
the wind outside howls as near freezing rain pours down the window. You reach
up to turn on the lights in the cold room, but they don't come on. From under
the covers you walk to the shower only to discover there is no water. Beyond
the noise of wind and rain there are sounds of panic in the streets outside.
You look through the glass to see cars speeding down the street past people
loaded with all manner of baggage. Your mind races as reality sinks in, but you
don't panic. Why? Because you prepared for this moment long ago, with your
family survival plan.
And just now
can I ask if there is anybody in this room who actually has a disaster survival
plan for a situation like this?
As we all
know disasters strike when we least expect it. If your loved ones are in
different locations and communications are lost, how will any of you find each
other? That’s why a good family survival plan is essential.
When I
started to read about this topic on the internet it turned out that if you want
to be prepared for a natural or any kind of disaster you have to do a lot of
things.
For example
it’s good to have the right amount of emergency food, a portable coocking gear,
mountaineering tenst or if you stay at home a specific room for emergency.
Planning for survival during time of natural disaster requires certain
protections against the elements. There is so much things to do that in an
emergency situation you will have no time for all of that.
I think that
at least everybody should create a survival kit which is extremely useful in
case you will be away from home maybe for days and you won’t have electricity
or a way to get supplies. This kit should contain enough food, water and other
basic supplies for each family member to last at least 3 days, and medications
for 7 days.
The American
Red Cross responds to nearly those disasters include house fires, wildfires,
floods and also hurricanes. Unfortunately, most people aren't prepared. Only the 39 percent of
Americans had created a family disaster plan.
Every
disaster is another reminder that emergencies can happen anywhere (even in
Hungary), anytime and everyone should take steps to be prepared for all
possible risks. So go and make a natural disaster plan for your family!

REINCARNATION IS POSSIBLE!
Reincarnation is possible
Let me begin with a question: Is there anybody on this blog who believes in reincarnation?
First I would like to make clear what exactly reincarnation
means. This is a religious or philosophical theory that believes that the soul
or spirit after biological death can begin a new life in a new body. This
conception is in the centrum of the Indian religions buti t is also a common
belief of various ancient and modern religions.
And now I would like to share some really interesting facts
with you about reincarnation.
Pherhaps the strongest nad best documented evidence comes
from the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson who was a psychiatrist. He studied almost
3000 cases of children (most of them between four and ten years of age) who
were able to remember their previous life names and even the date they died and
details about the villages in which they previously lived. Stevenson also
noticed that some of the children revealed marks on claim their previous
personality had suffered at the time of their death. For example an eleven year
old Turkish boy recounted having been shot int he head and remarkably he was
born with a badly deformed right ear.
In the late 60’s there was a psychologist, Dr. Helen Wambach
who decided to compare the specific details od people’s past life with
sociologocal and archeological studies made of the cultures they mentioned. To
her surprise people frequently described architecture, clothing styles, even
mundane details such as types of footware and the methods used to cook their
food.
And there is also the Déja vu which is the strange sense
that one is repeating an experience they’re certain they’ve never had before.
To some people such experiences are considered evidence of a past life, some
memories that has somehow survived the rebirthing process.
And also phobias those unsual and often overwhelming
fellings of fear we sometimes have regarding things that usually do not
constitute danger to us. They are the results of some treuma or event from the
past (usually in childhood). But what if those phobias that seem to develop
without an accompanying trauma? It can be that for example a man afraid of
water may have drowned in a past life.
And last but not least what about child prodigies? A prodigy
is a child who possesses a special gift or talent. Good examples are the German
Amadeus Mozart who was able to compose simple arrangements of musical the age
of four and the 17th century mathematician Blaise Pascal who managed to outline
a new geometric system by the age 11. Modern science attributes these rare
gifts to simple brain chemistry. But could it be that these special people
possess their remarkable ability because they have done it all before? Could
the child who shows a special gift for geometry have been a mathematics
professor in a previous lifetime or was Mozart able to accomplish his amazing
feats of music because, precisely as he claimed, he had been a musician many
times before?
It’s not known how much our past we might retain into our
present but it’s entirely possible that our past may be far more tied our
present than we can imagine.
